President Obama is Damaging America

Where is This President Taking Us?

Can anyone answer this question?  Anyone at all?  I don’t believe so, because if you were to ask the man himself he wouldn’t know.  That’s all too obvious now.  Now that the rock star hysteria of his campaign is over, all that’s left (operative word) is a man who is nothing more than a diplomatic rookie, a political empty suit, with the absolutely wrong ideology – liberalism – as his staff.  And worse yet, President Obama does not have a smidgen, not even a morsel, of business experience or any real world familiarity.  This combination of financial and political immaturity is dangerous, and scary for those of us who will have to live with the negative effects of this President’s completely reckless decisions.

His judgment on policy has been absolutely abominable and completely disconnected from the American people’s wants and desires – except for liberals, of course.  Just look at all the polling (from reputable pollsters), read the op eds, see the Republican victories in Democratic strongholds, and you will see that President Obama is consistently on the wrong side of the issues.  Whether it’s health care reform, Federal spending, climate change, foreign policy, terrorist trials in civilian court, etc., President Obama and his administration are taking the United States down the wrong path and possibly at our peril.  We have to stop him and November 2010 is our best chance.  Simply put, this President is in way over his head and he has surrounded himself with like-minded and similarly bumbling taking heads who are equally incompetent.  President Obama and his Administration simply do not know what they are doing and they are damaging America.

A Show Worthy of Broadway

Candidate Obama’s rise to power, his defeat of Senator Hillary Clinton even moreso than his route of Senator McCain, was borne of a “cult of personality”.  Obama-mania has now been exposed for what it is; a fraud.  Moderates, Independents, Black Americans, Catholics, basically a combination thereof catapulted this political novice to the Presidency, not Conservatives.  It is these swing voters who were boonswoggled into believing all that Hope and Change crap, when all they were enamored with really was a young, very articulate, very good looking – and yes black – candidate who used Bush hatred and war fatigue to win them over.

Check out this definition of cult of personality from Wikipedia;

A cult of personality arises when a country’s leader uses mass media to create an idealized and heroic public image, often through unquestioning flattery and praise. Cults of personality are often found in dictatorships and Stalinist governments.

As each day goes on, President Obama and his administration continue to spin the stark realities that are unfolding before America.  We are in real economic trouble, Islamic terrorists are attacking us – again – on our soil, the Federal government is bankrupting our future, illegal immigration is still a huge problem, real health care reform is probably dead for the foreseeable future thanks to liberal Democrat’s attempt to nationalize it.  David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel and Robert Gibbs use everyday to script a movie, a show for us to see, with President Obama playing the lead role.  The problem is our nations significant troubles will not go away with the dropping of the curtain.

The Presidency of the United States is No Place for On The Job Training

Barack Obama is a community organizer, turned lawyer, whose political career began in 1996 at the state senate level, whose first Federal congressional office came in 2004 (he lost a bid for the House in 2000).  After a scant two years as a Senator, he basically skirted his congressional duties to run the Presidency in 2008.  And this man is the President of the United States?  The de facto leader of the free world?  The head of the single biggest economy on Earth?  The Commander-in-Chief?  Please wake me up from this nightmare.  His utter inexperience, along with he and his administration’s failed ideology, and shear arrogance has prompted President Obama to have horrible lapses of judgment.

For starters, President elect Obama takes office amidst the worst economic climate probably since the Depression and quickly rams through the one piece of legislation that (liberal) Democrats seem to subsist upon; Federal spending – and a lot of it.  He does so even though every fiscally Conservative person in America, especially economists, finance executives, et al, state unequivocally that massive Federal spending would not revive the economy.  And we are proven right.  This President has taken what was already a bloated Federal government and put it in hyper-spending mode, and on the backs of our children and grandchildren because we’re broke, America is bankrupt people – face it, it’s here.  President Obama will deficit spend over three trillion dollars in his first two years in office – three trillion ($3,000,000,000,000), and its already proven that deficit spending will not create jobs, by far the single most pressing issue this President faces, but you wouldn’t know it by his priority list.

And then there’s health care reform.  This is a genuinely significant issue in America.  Although the quality of our medical treatment in the United States is second to none, the financial system of medicine is badly broken. We all know this.  Americans DID want the Federal government to tackle the issues surrounding  health care, but we did not want the outcome to negatively affect the quality of delivery of our medicine.  So what does this President do?  He bows at the altar (and he bows very well might I say) of the left, specifically Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid, and allows the hallmark of the legislation to be nationalizing health care; the public option.  Only an inexperienced ideologue would make that mistake, but that is exactly what Barack Obama is.

Liberals Assault on America is Nothing New

Conservative criticism of a liberal Presidencies and their wrong-minded decisions regarding public entitlements, disdain for capitalism, and insatiable appetite to spend beyond our country’s means is nothing new.  Check out this political cartoon circa 1934 from the Chicago Tribune (how ironic).  It’s sad that we haven’t learned from our mistakes:

Some Things Never Change

What more is there left to say?  We haven’t learned our lesson after nearly eighty years!  America continues to go through this cycle of seeing the fruits of Conservatism work, but then for some unknown reason we romanticize about how if we just allow government to take care of us, everything will work out in the end.  And then when that doesn’t work – which is every time – we come to our senses and elect Conservative politicians who get it right.  In the past, it seems that we’ve been able to make mistakes regarding our decision to put Democrats in power only to recover through a repudiation of their failed policies.  I pray that we can do it again.
